You haven’t heard of the upcoming megarealease of Battlefield 3? You dumb noob! Go put on your Gilly suit and watch GameSpot’s kickass behind-the-scenes interviews with the hardcore devs at Dice… megadevs like Lars Gustavson, currently the smartest dorkgod in gaming. There’s lots of sneak peek gameplay footage and never-before-seen tech demos. Drool! Battlefield3 is hard. Well hard. It’s also really, really beautiful in its gritty realism and gameplay. Go look: Gamespot.com

There, don’t you feel more L33T already?

Now punch yourself in the face from excitement and hop over to NAG magazine’s site (www.NAG.co.za) where Alice is under the scope. YES, there is a new Alice game! To be released on 17 June. In case you’ve forgotten, Alice is the wild and mad (no! mental) sleeper hit game from American McGee that is rated 17+ for violence, gore, and other fun stuff.

Then contrast that with NAG Magazine’s…umm…”review” of Battlefield3 in which the writers fail miserably at their assignment, choosing to slagwhine the game’s download system instead. There is promise of a full review of the game in March 2011, but in true NAG SA fashion only an empty space haunts the site. Battlefield3 is the biggest game release of all time and NAG are caught napping with their pants down. Go look. (www.nag.co.za).

Just look at how NAG hodge-podged their write-ups about Battlefield3:

The threadbare review

The review that was not about the game but about how the game is distributed / the downloader

The review they copy-pasted from EA.com (Electronic Arts website) - Experts have a name for this type of tatty, churned out PR parading under the name of ‘journalism’ … They call it churnalism!

Original EA article

PS: If you didnt really understand what the hell was going on in this post, then clearly you’re in need of some geek-ucation.
